John Lewis A Leader for Right Now
Rep. John Lewis (D) GA The Leader for the Blue Wave
At this point it’s all about the leader for the blue wave. For the Blue Wave Express Bandwagon to be successful it’s leader will have to relate to their constituency. The recent gaffs by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi relative to what Rep. Maxine Waters (D) CA had to say about making the Trump administrators uncomfortable as we encounter them, are indicative of a cowardice that this progressive movement is in no mood for from it’s leaders. Their response was disheartening and turns off the very voters we are trying to attract to the blue wave.
Pelosi tweeted, “In the crucial months ahead, we must strive to make America beautiful again. Trump’s daily lack of civility has provoked responses that are predictable but unacceptable. As we go forward, we must conduct elections in a way that achieves unity from sea to shining sea.” Chuck Schumer was no better from the senate floor. “We all have to remember to treat our fellow Americans, all of our fellow Americans, with the kind of civility and respect we expect will be afforded to us,” Schumer said on the Senate floor. “No one should call for the harassment of political opponents. That’s not right. That’s not American. The president’s tactics and behavior should never be emulated. It should be repudiated.” The Republicans love ’em. They both should apologize to Rep Waters. Say no to appeasing Republicans.
Thankfully the term “community organizer” has slipped back into the political lexicon. A “community organizer” is a leader that hails from the belly of a neighborhood who has figured out how to appeal to their constituency to win them over to win elections. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who just defeated Rep. Joe Crowley in New York’s 14th congressional district, describes herself as a “community organizer”. Former President Obama’s honors himself by first stating he too was a “community organizer”. Rep. John Lewis is a “community organizer”, one that’s sorely needed right now on a national level as the midterms approach.
THE RACISM FACTOR
Fighting the good fight is a trait Rep. John Lewis (D) GA is best known for. There is no doubt that this election season will have racism and white nationalism at its core. We need to understand that. Therefore the stuff under the bus will need a steady hand from it’s leader to prevail. Who better to represent our side than Rep. Lewis? Neither Rep. Pelosi nor Senator Schumer possess his racism “skill set”. That is, they don’t know racism like Rep. Lewis knows racism. The racism that the Republicans will throw at Pelosi and Schumer will overwhelm them. They can’t speak from experience on this matter like Rep. Lewis could. Tough responses will be needed when the time comes for our leader to respond to accusations the Republicans will surely hurl. John Lewis can provide that response and make this movement work if we can convince him to lead and legitimize our bandwagon movement.
WHAT’S AT STAKE
Too much is at stake and on the line for us not to put our best effort forward. We need a good messenger, the “down-n-dirty” type. Not a softy or a Republican appeaser, saying stuff so as not to piss them off – screw that. We want to shake things up. The Pelosi/Schumer playbook has played out. We as Progressive Democrats have got to stop going to gun fights with pillows. We are not going to win being soft. DNC lets start talking now out loud in political ads about how people are talking about voting for your party. Why you are not promoting that is a cause for pause. The talk is everywhere. A lot of it is coming from Republicans, i.e. Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats. He describes what the Blue Wave Express Bandwagon personifies. He refers to it as a “national cry“. He’s trying to steal our thunder, like any good lowdown Republican would do, but no. It’s called the Blue Wave Express Bandwagon and we need Rep. John Lewis running things around here. DNC wake up, the Blue Wave Express Bandwagon is on your side. Start talking about this issue and stop listening to the crap that the RepublicaContentns are wrapped up in. They have nothing at all to run on except Nancy Pelosi. That’s it!
Talks between Rep. Lewis, Rep. Pelosi and the DNC needs to begin immediately. Let’s encourage them. Based on zip codes, only voters in these Representatives’ District can email them so you voters will have to do your part with email. Voters from the 12th District of California can email Rep. Pelosi here and call as well. Everybody else can call. Rep. Pelosi’s number in DC is (202) 225-4965 and the San Francisco number is (415) 556-4862. Congressman Lewis represents Georgia’s 5th District so you voters can email here because of your zip code. Everybody else can call. Rep. Lewis’ DC number is (202) 225-3801 and his Atlanta number is (404) 659-0116. Voters on the bandwagon, contact both of these politicians and let them know we are willing to give them power, all they have to do is stick to the script. Leave your email at the bottom of each post and join our movement to get on board our bandwagon.
Rep. Pelosi’s sees John Lewis this way, “Let us remember that many have tried to silence John Lewis over the years. All have failed.” Let’s hope that Rep. Pelosi and Senator Schumer aren’t the first to do so.
I’ll be in touch.
